Top 16 'tuhaos' in Chinese history
Ho-Shen (1750 –1799) was the right-hand man of Qianlong Emperor in China's Qing Dynasty. Ho-Shen ended up in jail. According to statistics, Ho's assets totaled at least 60 million ounces in silver dollars, 70,000 silver dollars’ worth of fur, and 4,288 gold bricks.

Tuhao, translating roughly to "uncouth nouveau riche," has been a popular word in China in 2015. Although tuhao is a relatively new word, it is not a new phenomenon.
