Eying the development of Chinese troops, India has requested from the United States 100 latest unmanned aerial vehicles, both armed and surveillance versions, The Indian Express reported.

Both the latest version of the combat Avenger drones and the surveillance version Predator XP category were reported on India’s pursuing list. The total defense deal is expected to reach some $2 billion.

Although the Indian news agency reported the talk had been held under table during last couple of months, the U.S. side has yet to make any formal commitment or give a public indication regarding India’s pursuit.
