    Nanjing Massacre survivors hold memorial rites for lost relatives (11)

    CHINA-NANJING-NANJING MASSACRE-SURVIVORS (CN)

    Ge Daorong, 88, survivor of the atrocious Nanjing Massacre, stands at the site where his uncle Ge Zhixie was killed by Japanese soldiers in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, on Dec. 6, 2015. Ge Daorong survived in the Nanjing Massacre when he was 10 years old. He witnessed that his uncle Ge Zhixie, Pan Zhaoxiang, Wang Junsheng were killed by Japanese soldiers. Some survivors of the Nanjing Massacre held family memorial rites for their lost relatives at the Memorial Hall of the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders on Thursday, ahead of the national memorial day for the atrocity. At least 40 survivors of the Nanjing Massacre passed away since the January of 2014, leaving about 100 still alive. (Xinhua/Li Xiang)
