On August 26, the press conference for "2016 China Xiangyang-Hanjiang Swimming Tournament" announced that the contest is scheduled to be held in Xiangyang section of Hanjiang River between October 15 and 16. By then, one hundred swimming groups from all parts of the country as well as swimming teams of Xiangyang City will play in the same river, which will be a swimming event with the largest number of participants over the years and the highest watchfulness.

This tournament is another large scale event after “Winter Swimming Culture Festival in Hanjiang River”.
