100 Experts Gather in Xiangyang for Archaeological Exploration

    ()    10:00, August 11, 2016

The preservation and archaeological work of cultural relics in northern Hubei's water resources allocation project is another large-scale "archaeological battle" in Hubei Province following Three Gorges Project and South-to-North Water Diversion Project. The work involves 44 cultural relics in this region, including 31 in Xiangyang. All 15 archaeological institutes, including Nanjing University, Renmin University of China, Sichuan University, Wuhan University, Xiamen University, Jingzhou Museum, Suizhou Museum and Xiaogan Museum, have moved into the archaeological sites in Xiangyang for early archaeological exploration.

By July 27, there had been a total of over 600 archeological workers on the archaeological sites in Xiangyang, including about 100 archaeological experts and other workers.
