Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, is a classic cartoon character in China, which has profound influence on people in different generations.

Recently two men who dressed like the Monkey King appeared in downtown area in Jinhua city, east China's Zhejiang province.

Waving the golden cudgels, they approached children and lovers and took photos with them, then they would ask for 10 yuan for the service.

Many citizens were curious about the Monkey Kings and took photos by mobile phones without realizing that they need to pay for it. "Nobody ever told us what happened here; I thought maybe the owner of one shop wanted to attract customers using this method. I felt cheated after knowing that I had to pay for it," said Mrs. Li.

"It has been several days for these two men to appear in the street. They had a good business and earned at least about 2,000 and 3,000 yuan every day," said a worker in a nearby barbecue restaurant.
