Industrial robot production to become new growth point for China

Sales of industrial robots in China hit 57,000 in 2014, marking a year-on-year increase of 55 percent and a quarter of global sales. Nowadays, about 500 to 600 enterprises are currently engaged in the R&D and production of industrial robots across China. The country will encourage more enterprises to produce industrial robots. As a key task of the "Made in China 2025" plan, industrial robot production will become a new growth point thanks to large market potentials and the advantage of human resources. (Xinhua/Liu Chan)
