The list of 2016 Hubei Provincial-level Green and Ecological City Proper Demonstration Projects and the list of Provincial-level Green Building Centralized Demonstration and Creation Projects were announced to the public. Nine projects from Xiangyang were selected for the next round of competition.

Xiangyang Dongjin New Area, Yinji Urban and Rural Integrative Garden New Town and Panggongpian District Green and Eco-friendly City were listed as provincial-level green and ecological city proper demonstration and creation projects. Greenbelt Central Plaza, Rongqiao City, Hanshui Huacheng, Wan Li Shan He, Nanzhang Century Famous Town (Block A), No. 1 Hospital External Migration Project of Laohekou City were listed as provincial-level green building centralized demonstration and creation projects.
