    (CRI Online)    08:36, March 14, 2016

105 kindergartners dressing in Hanfu, a traditional dress dating back to the Han dynasty, take part in an ancient-style "first writing ceremony" in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province on Sunday, March 13, 2016. The children are learning Chinese traditions like the basic principle of behaviors, Chinese classics, and traditional core values like filial piety and gratitude. First Writing Ceremony, also called "Kaibi Ceremony," was one of the most important events for students in ancient China, meaning the children are ready to take a step in pursuing knowledge. The children are also required to bow to Confucius and their teachers to show respect before lectures. [Photo: Chinanews]
