On February 12, 2016, in Beijing, a modern drama performed by students from the Fifth Primary School of Xi'an Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, titled ‘Little Water Drops Search for Their Home’ and revolving around the issue of environment protection, won from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Asia-Pacific Office a gold award handed out in recognition of excellence in the education of the youth in arts.

The modern drama won many awards in 2015, including top awards in competitions staged by Xi'an and by Shaanxi Province, and gold award in the 6th Asian and Oceanian International Children Art Festival.
