On December 29, 2015, Shaanxi Pharmaceutical Industry Development Fund was established in Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone, with a total scale of RMB6 billion. The fund totaling RMB6 billion was sponsored and funded by four units, namely Shaanxi Pharmaceutical Holdings Group, Ping An Bank Co., Ltd., HEAVEN-SENT Capital Management GROUP CO., LTD., and Xi’an Capitech Venture Capital Co., Ltd. During the ceremony, 10 banks including Ping An Bank Co., Ltd., China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd., and China Citic Bank Co., Ltd. signed with sponsors fund credit agreements totaling RMB30 billion.

The biopharmaceutical industry is one of four leading industries in Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone. At present, more than 400 biopharmaceutical companies gathered in the zone. The health and biopharmaceutical industry will see output value of over RMB200 billion by 2020.
