New-type missile frigate Xiangtan commissioned in PLA Navy

On Feb. 24, a ceremony for the commission of the new-type missile frigate Xiangtan was held in a port in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province. Xiangtan frigate is a new generation of missile frigate independently developed by China. With the hull number of 531, the ship has the maximum length of 140 meters and a width of 16 meters. It's full-load displacement can reach 4,000 tons. It is the main type of battle ship of the PLA Navy. (CNS Photo)
