Shaolin kung fu gets popular in rural area in Africa

With the spread of Chinese martial arts in the world, Shaolin kung fu becomes well known around the world. In rural regions of Tanzania, eastern Africa, young men also practice kung fu.

In early November, several African young men visited the local agricultural demonstration center in Dakawa in Tanzania and talked to a Chinese staff member, saying that they wished to perform Chinese kung fu in the center.

Uswege Mwaseba who had learned Chinese kung fu in China set up a Chinese martial arts class in his hometown. He said that he was so excited to see the Chinese in his village and he couldn't wait to show the kung fu to him.

He also showed his diploma of a Shaolin Kung Fu class issued by China's Ministry of Culture and a certificate of completion of Chinese Bridge autumn camp - Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students.
