It's man's nature to be different while proposing to his girlfriend. Lately a Chinese man named Yongpeng proposed to her girlfriend Qing’er with a “moon” with a diameter of 8 meters.

Yongpeng was born in an ordinary home in Baoding, Hebei province. He did not find a high pay job but works in a space research institute in Beijing.

Marriage is usually seen as a joining of families in China. Given that most children are from one child families, it is easy to understand that parents take a keen interest in who their only child marries.

Qing’er’s mother at first did not agree to let her daughter marry a man without a house and a car, worrying her daughter will have miserable life. In order to test Yongpeng, her mother asked him to pick up the moon for her daughter if he wants to marry her.

With the help of Baidu Nuomi, a famous online coupon supplier, Yongpeng and the staff from the company made a moon model of 8 meters in diameter on the plaza near Qing’er’s home.

Yongpeng prepared two banners with slogans on them as well. The words read, “Mother-in-law, the moon is for you and please send your daughter to me. So far I do not have a car or a house, but I’ve got the moon.”
