    China to Launch “Six One-Hundreds” Program to Support Developing Countries

    During the High-level Roundtable on South-South Cooperation, held on September 26 at United Nations Headquarters in New York, Chinese President Xi Jinping announces a "Six One-Hundreds" plan to support developing countries.

    The "Six One-Hundreds" include: 100 poverty alleviation programs, 100 agricultural cooperation programs, 100 trade-facilitative aiding programs, 100 ecological protection and fighting against climate change programs, construction of 100 hospitals and clinics, and construction of 100 schools and vocational training centers.

    In the next five years, China is to provide fund for 120,000 people and scholarships for 150,000 students from developing countries to come to China for training and study.

    China is to establish South-South Cooperation and Development Academy.

    Two billion USD cash will be provided by China to aid World Health Organization.

    Unity and cooperation with developing countries is the unshakable foundation of China's foreign relationships, remarks President Xi Jinping during the roundtable.
