    They can't hear the sound of friction between their skis against the snow, or the sound of the starting gun; but they did write a splendid melody of their own life with endeavor and courage.

    In Yabuli, a famous skiing resort in northeast China’s Heilongjiang, Chinese hearing-impaired ski team is training for the 18th Winter Deaflympics to be held in March. As the coach of the team, Zhan Yuchao has to help training 12 hearing-impaired athletes in Yabuli every day. "Skiing is like another window to prove ourselves, to make a change, and realize our values in our lives by doing sports," said Zhan.
