Liu Tingting tells journalists that she was normal sized when she was a kid, but after a car accident, everything changed. She said, "There were some hormones in the medication I took that led to obesity. I've tried taking exercises, staying on diets, and everything. But once I stopped, the weight just came back, and even worse than before." (Chinanews/Zhang Yao)

Liu Tingting, 26, comes from Qiqihar, northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province. She weighs 485 lbs (220 kilograms) and is the heaviest person in China trying to lose weight. In October 2014, Liu came to a hospital in Changchun to get weight losing treatment.
