Yunnan through the eyes of an Australian girl- Water Splashing Festival in Mengding (2)

A study tour, a trip, a visit… the charming landscape and the lovely people of China have brought many unforgettable memories to people who traveled there. China has changed enormously since reform and opening-up and more and more foreigners choose to travel and live in China.

On Day 2 of the Water Splashing Festival, fully armed with her water gun, Amy Lyons joined the “battle of water” with the local energetic kids. Invited by the local girls, she also joined the special praying ceremony for the festival. The whole day was a sea of laughter, while everyone sending their best wishes by splashing and pulling water to each other. It’s definitely the best way to celebrate the Dai new year!
