    Departed from Fengqing, Amy Lyons arrived at Mengding, a border town locates in the far Southwest of Yunnan province, China. Invited by the locals, she experienced the biggest festival of the Dai ethnic minority, the Water Splashing Festival. Dress up in colorful Dai clothes, dancing and singing and pouring water to loved ones and friends. It’s the best way to wash away the dirt and sorrows from the past year, and ensure good luck in the coming year!
