Elderly man carves miniature landscape of Daming Palace with bricks

A 76-year-old man named Wang Tailai from Xi'an, Shaanxi province carved a miniature landscape of Daming Palace using bricks, following a 300:1 scale.

Daming Palace was the imperial palace complex of the Tang Dynasty, located in its capital of Chang'an, now called Xi'an. It took Wang 16 years to finish the carving, which covers an area of 27 square meters and includes 11 gates, four watch towers, four courts and 38 temples. The miniature landscape is currently being exhibited at Xi'an People's Art Museum.
