A plant blossoms at the Turpan Eremophytes Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Turpan city, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Located at altitudes from 105 meters to 76 meters below sea level, it is known as the world's lowest botanical garden. Home to various arid desert plants, the garden play a role in the conservation and cultivation of the plants. The garden boasts more than 700 species of eremophytes and has the largest collection in central Asia.(CNS Photo)
