BEIJING, April 5 -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has congratulated Mahamadou Issoufou on his re-election as the president of Niger.

In a congratulatory message dated Wednesday, Xi said he attaches great importance to China-Niger relations.

Xi said his country stands ready to take the implementation of the outcome of the 2015 Johannesburg summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation as an opportunity to push forward the two sides' friendly cooperation in all areas so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples.
