    Deer return to the wild on World Wildlife Day

    Elaphurus davidianus or Pere David's deer, called Milu in China, are released into the East Dongting Lake Nature Reserve in Central China’s Hunan Province, March 3, 2016. The 16 Milu were introduced from a protection zone in East China’s Jiangsu Province and set free on World Wildlife Day. The United NationsGeneral Assembly proclaimed March 3 as World Wildlife Day to celebrate and raise awareness of the world’s wild fauna and flora. (Photo: China News Service/Yang Huafeng)
