Cycling odyssey: City workers quit their job to pedal from the UK to Japan (3)

    (Mail Online)    13:46, February 16, 2016

However, it wasn't easy going the entire way through, and difficult mountain climbs were unfortunately all too common

'We are regularly told how lucky we are to be doing a trip like the one we are currently on,' Claire wrote. 'However, in many respects, we are no different from the majority of our colleagues, friends and family.

'The only difference is that we took the plunge and turned this dream into something more tangible.

'We swapped our cosy house share in Greenwich for a lightweight tent and put our stable and respectable careers on hold in order to become full-time cyclists.

'It wasn't easy - but we both agree that the hardest part of the trip so far has been explaining to our bosses why we were leaving!'

'Awesome riding,' the two captioned this picture of a bearded Andre taking on the mountainous terrain of Romania

In Nepal, the two took a break from their bikes to hike the snowy Himalayas and posed for a snap at this mini summit

Instead of spending money on a hotel, Claire and Andre set up camp to view the stunning hot air balloons in Cappadocia, G?reme, Turkey
