For much of its six-hundred-year history it was a poor village until the local farmers started to plant tea. It has now become one of the Four Famous Habitats for Longjing Tea, rich in tea culture and leisure tourism, which attracts over millions of tourists every year. (Photo/Zjol.com.cn)

When addressing the recent 10th G20 summit in Turkey, President Xi Jinping announced that China will host the 2016 G20 summit in Hangzhou in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province. The theme of 2016 G20 summit will be "Building an innovative, invigorated, interconnected and inclusive world economy." President Xi also cited the old Chinese saying "Heaven above, Suzhou and Hangzhou below" which lauds the city's scenic beauty. Hangzhou, as a famous historical and cultural city as well as a hub of innovation and vitality, is ready to embrace the large-scale event with its idyllic beauty and rich cultural heritage.
