This is the moment a wildebeest managed to dodge the deadly teeth of a giant crocodile by making a last-second leap to safety.

The dramatic escape was captured on camera as hundreds of wildebeest swept across a river in the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.

Pictures show a huge crocodile launching a surprise attack by springing out of the water and lunging at one of the migrating animals with its jaws open.
