Traditional way of extracting oil in Anhui

In some places in Anhui, very few old oil pressing workshops which use traditional way of extracting oil are still in operation. The season 2 of Bite of China also invited such oil extract workshops for filming.

Although it is getting colder every day, the oil workshop is still hot like summer. Workers have to pound very hard to extract fine rapeseed oil. With fewer younger men doing this ancient job, this way of extracting oil is facing the danger of extinction. (Photo/People's Daily Online)
