    First nuclear power plant in western China put into operation

    The unit 1 of the first nuclear power plant in western China is put into operation in Fangchenggang, southwest China's Guangxi on Oct. 25. China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) now has 16 nuclear power plants, with a total installed capacity of 17.08 million kilowatts. (CNS/Zhong Xin)
