Grass linen is a tradition handicraft with a rich history. It is a kind of cloth made of ramie. Because this cloth usually keeps the body cool in the hot summer, it is also named Xiabu ("Xia" means summer) in China. Xiabu is a traditional garment material for the Han nationality in China since the Xia-Shang-Zhou Period. Rongchang Xiabu from Chongqing was inscribed on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2008. (Chinanews/Liao Pan)
