    China's Supreme Court to Accept Interns and Academics for the First Time

    China's Supreme People's Court is to accept 10 law scholars and 50 interns for the first time as part of an exchange program, China News Service reports

    A colloquium for the first batch of academics and interns was held at the Supreme Court on Oct. 16, 2015.

    According to the report, the interns will have a 6-month internship at the Supreme Court and the academics will be allowed to work at both their original work place and the Supreme Court for one year.

    An officer from the Supreme People's Court says the 10 law academics were selected from among 26 candidates recommended by 21 top colleges in China including Tsinghua University and Peking University. The academics include 6 college professors and 4 associate professors.

    The 50 interns were also from 32 universities in China.
