    Champions show off giant vegetables in England

    Local time Sept. 18, 2015 in North Yorkshire, England, the annual National Vegetable Championships are held at

    the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show.

    26 classes of more than 100 entrants are competing for champions, and the contest of giant vegetables, judged on weight alone, is one of the most noticed amongst all.

    Champion Peter Glazebrook shows off his 4.8kg (10.58lbs) carrot and 5.455kg European radish.

    Brian Marshall, champion of the heaviest pumpkin, 230kg (507.06lbs), exhibits his produce.

    Champion Ian Neale demonstrates his 14.140kg (31.17lbs) sweet beet, and 24.2kg (53.35lbs) cabbage.
