Cattle dung is an important fuel in Tibet. It’s used for heating and cooking and there are many folk stories and events connected to it. Pasang, who always has had strong feelings for his hometown’s culture, incorporates the concept of “cattle dung” into his bakery. His bread, a combination of Tibetan traditional food and western baking techniques, is now gaining more popularity among locals and tourists.

Pasang says he now is working to create various barley desserts in an effort to attract more people to learn about Tibetan culture.
