Danba is a county on the travelling route of Sichuan-Tibet line. Every year, thousands of tourists come to Danba for its ecological scenery. But no one would believe that a few days ago, most of the people in the villages of the county still lived their lives with no electricity in most part of a year.

In the past, schools were operated by gasoline electric generators; families had to use kerosene lamps since electricity was only provided in a quarter in a year. On June 26, 2015, as the electric lamp lit up in the last family in Dandong Village, Danba County eventually said goodbye to its dim history.
