The minimum salary standard in southwest China's Sichuan Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has been increased starting from July.

So far 14 regions are reported to have increased their minimum salary in 2015.

The minimum salary in Shanghai and Shenzhen has surpassed 2000 RMB, at 2030 RMB and 2020 RMB per month respectively.

Currently, the highest hourly minimum wage per hour is Beijing where people earn at least 18.7 RMB.

In Shanghai and Beijing, the minimum salary standard package will not include housing and social insurance fees paid by individuals meaning employers should pay for these extra fees. Therefore it is highly beneficial to reside in either Beijing or Shanghai.
