Man spends 200,000 yuan making delta-wing planes

"He has no hobby except making plane. Plane is his life", says Zhang Zhaoying, Li Peng's wife. After the motorized delta-wing aircraft completed the ground run experiment successfully at an air base in Jiangsu province, Li Peng’s dream took one step closer to reality. Because of strong crosswind, the plane failed to take off. “We should be patient. I’ve been waiting for more than 10 years. Waiting several more days is just OK,” Li Peng smiled and promised to make it fly with within half a year.

 Li Peng is working for gives him some financial support, it is still a considerable sum of money as he earns 3,000 yuan every month. His wife runs a small restaurant and the income is also very limited. "Sometimes I complained and asked him whether it’s worth it. He said yes," explained Zhang Zhaoying: "This is his only hobby and his life，so I have no choice but to support him."
