Guo Yujun (born in 1965) came to Xun Yangba Township with his parents when he was still a little child. Xun Yangba Township lies 34 kilometers northeast from Ningshaan county, Shaanxi province. He went to a senior high school in Chang'an District, Xi'an and graduated from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1991, he has been engaged in journalism work in Shaanxi Worker newspaper. He travelled around the mountains, rivers and industrial and mining enterprises in Shaanxi while working as a photographer for more than 20 years. During these trips, he took photographs for interviewing sources and stories for the newspaper. With special feelings for Xun Yangba, he has taken photographs of the Pinghe Ridge, the Yuehe Ridge, fortified mountain house, old houses, honest and kind farmers in almost 20 years.
