BERLIN, March 26 -- New rules requiring two crew members to be in the cockpit at all times will be introduced in German airlines, German Aviation Association BDL told media on Thursday.

German airlines, including the Lufthansa Group, Air Berlin, Condor and TuiFly, have agreed to introduce new rules after speaking with BDL about possible consequences following latest findings of Germanwings plane crash, BDL Executive Director Matthias von Randow was quoted by Focus Online as saying on Thursday evening.

"We want to introduce these new procedures immediately," von Randow said.

Discussions about introducing the new rules will involve Germany's Federal Aviation Office LBA on Friday, according to the reports.

A total of 150 people lost their lives on Tuesday as a Germanwings passenger plane crashed in southern French Alps.

The investigation of the crash of the flight 4U9525 reached an unexpected and mysterious turning point on Thursday as audio recording from a black box has showed that the German co-pilot deliberately crashed the aircraft after locking the flight's captain out of the cockpit.

A number of airlines, including Norwegian Air, Easyjet, Air Canada and Icelandair, have announced to change procedures to have two people in the cockpit at all times following the latest developments of the Germanwings tragedy probe.
