Nail house trapped in the middle of a demolition site in Yichang

A nail house in Yichang, central east China's Hubei province has attracted most attention. Being trapped in the middle of a demolition site, the electricity and water of this house were both cut off.

The owner said the house was built in the 1990s and has been renovated in 2005. Since 2012, due to disputes over demolition and compensation details between the owner and local authority, the house's compensation plan remains undecided and is facing jeopardy.
