    Man pawns 283 pairs of Nike Jordan shoes to buy an apartment for marriage in Beijing

    Mick (nickname), a Beijing man born in 1985, pawned his 283 pairs of Nike Jordan shoes that he had collected for over 10 years, in exchange of 1 million yuan ( 160,000 US dollars) to pay the down payment of an apartment in Beijing. Mick said the he needed the money to buy the apartment for his marriage, and he would redeem the shoes back in two months.
