    Enlightenment ceremony held for school children in Xi’an

    On March 1, 2015, 50 schoolchildren are dressed in China’s Han costume for their “First Writing Ceremony” by a lake in Xi’an, Shaanxi province. The First Writing Ceremony, also called Qi Meng (literally Enlightenment) Ceremony, is a very important traditional ceremony for every student before they were admitted to school.
