| On Dec. 27, two men accidentally fell into an ice hole on a lake in Laiyang, east China’s Shandong province. Zhang Yulei and Liu Haiwen, two PLA soldiers who were on duty nearby, rapidly came to the accidental site to rescue the two drowning men with electric wires and other things available. Later, more soldiers took part in the rescue. Unfortunately, one of the men died, and the other is all right. Zhang Yulei was frostbitten and hospitalized.
