KATHMANDU, Dec. 27-- Nepali President Ram Baran Yadav has said that China's pledge to undertake pragmatic cooperation in nine sectors with Nepal will greatly boost Nepal's economic development.

The Nepali president made the remarks on Friday when meeting with visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. He emphasized that China is an all-weather partner of Nepal and the two countries have achieved fruitful results in cooperation in the areas of economy and trade, cultural and people to people exchanges as well as security and law enforcement.

Wang Yi said that as friendly neighbors, China has always regarded Nepal as one of the most important cooperative partners, and the two countries should always carry forward their good traditions and further enhance comprehensive cooperative partnership between the two countries.

Wang Yi also added that China also hoped that Nepal will conclude the constitutional process at an earlier possible date.

Earlier on Friday, during meeting with his Nepalese counterpart Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, Wang proposed the two sides widen pragmatic cooperation in nine sectors, namely trade, investment, agriculture, infrastructure, science and technology, interconnection and intercommunication, tourism, cultural and people to people exchanges, security and law enforcement.
