China’s first female infantry squad sent for UN peacekeeping mission

China sent for the first time an entire infantry battalion for the peacekeeping operations of United Nations on Dec. 22, 2014. The 13 female soldiers in the battalion were especially eye catching. They will jointly carry out overseas peacekeeping missions such as patrol and humanitarian relief with other male soldiers. It is China’s first female infantry squad to carry out peacekeeping mission abroad.
