    Sun Lianzhong, Commander-in-Chief of the 11th War Zone, was authorized to accept the surrender of Japanese 118th Division, Japanese 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th Independent Brigades, Japanese 3rd Cavalry Regiment, Japanese 2nd, 3rd, 7th Independent Cavalry Regiments. Sun accepted the surrender of Hiroshi Nemoto, representative from the Empire of Japan, in Beijing’s Forbidden City on Oct. 10, 1945.

    Yan Xishan, Commander-in-Chief of the 2nd War Zone, was authorized to accept the surrender of Japanese 1st Army, Japanese 114th Division, Japanese 3rd, 10th, 14th Independent Brigades. Yan accepted the surrender of Raishiro Sumida, representative from the Empire of Japan, in Taiyuan on Sept. 3, 1945.
