    The surrender of Japanese troops in Hankou and Bengbu

    Sun Weiru, Commander-in-Chief of the 6th War Area, was authorized to accept the surrender of Japanese 132th Division and Japanese 5th, 11th, 12th, 85th, 86th, 88th Independent Brigade groups in Hankou. Sun received the surrender of Okabe Naosaburo, representative from the Empire of Japan in Hankou on Sept. 18, 1945.

    Li Pinxian, Commander of the 10th War Area, was authorized to accept the surrender of Japanese 65th, 70th, 131th Divisions, Japanese 6th Independent Regiment and Japanese 1st Independent Brigade. Li received the surrender of Jiro Sogawa, representative from the Empire of Japan in Bengbu on Sept. 24, 1945.
