BEIJING, Sept. 21 -- Pan Yiyang, vice chairman of the government of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has been removed from his post for suspected discipline and law violations.

The removal was announced by the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee on Sunday.

Pan was also a member of the standing committee of the CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee.

Earlier this week, Pan was put under probe by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection for the same reason.
