The Grand Palace, the most glorious palace in Bangkok, is a complex of buildings at the heart of the city. Buildings in Thailand are deeply affected by cultures of India, Europe and China. Chinese elements can be seen at every corner of the Grand Palace.

The construction of the 220,000-square-meter Grand Palace began in 1783. It consists of 22 classic buildings and used to be the palace of eight Kings. The buildings are inlaid with colorful glasses, gold and shining jewelry. Golden temples, Buddhism tower and sculptures under the sun add a touch of sacredness to the palace.
