    Japanese army surrenders in Changsha and Nanchang (4)

    Wang Yaowu, Commander-in-Chief of Chinese 4th Front Army, was authorized to accept the surrender of Japanese 20th Corps, Japanese 64th, 68th and 116th Divisions, Japanese 17th, 81st and 82nd Independent Brigade groups and Japanese 2nd Independent Cavalry Regiment in Changsha, central China’s Hunan province. Wang accepted the surrender of Ichiro Banzai, representative from the Empire of Japan on September 15, 1945.

    Xue Yue, Commander-in-Chief of the Seventh War Zone, was authorized to accept the surrender of the Japanese 11th Army, Japanese 13th and 58th Divisions, Japanese 7th, 22nd and 84th Independent Brigade groups in Nanchang, central China’s Jiangxi province. Xue accepted the surrender of Yukio Kasahara, representative from the Empire of Japan on September 14, 1945.
