First female soldier in Sansha heads to barrack

"I often dream that one day I will dance trippingly on the stage dressed in military uniform," said Feng Leini. She was one of the four new recruits, and the only female soldier in South China's Sansha City, south China’s Hainan Province.

In order to join the army, she cut her waist length hair to only 10 centimeters. Becoming the first female soldier in Sansha City made her popular. Many journalists gathered to take photos of her after the enlistment ceremony.

"Congratulations to you, our first female soldier!" said Xiao Jie, the mayor and the Party chief of Sansha City, who issued admission notice to Feng Leini.
