    Zhijiang witnesses the surrender negotiations between China and Japan

    On August 21, 1945, on behalf of Yasuji Okamura, Commander-in-Chief of the China Expeditionary Army, Takeo Imai negotiated surrender with Xiao Yisu, a representative of He Yingqin, Commander-in-Chief of Chinese army in Zhijiang, Hunan Province. Takeo Imai gave up the diagram that shows the deployment of Japanese army in China and signed an official memo announcing the surrender of Japanese army.
